A good friend of mine who is actually the one that started me on the whole Online Pool issue has long been an offline Pool player and gambler and later when his wife urged him to stop playing Pool for money transferred to the online world and became an avid player of the leading game back then Virtual Pool. He always says that the fact that he was a real Pool player before he went online made him much better in the virtual world. I did not agree at first but today I see that he was right and that when dealing with top-level 3D games you carry your abilities into the virtual games of Pool.

From looking and chatting to online Pool players I found that not many of them are offline Pool players. In fact this is mostly true for the 2D games available online. For the 3D games it is still hard to ascertain.

As online Pool is such a good way to pass your time while working it is often the case with the players who are just computer gamers that are looking for good time. With the arrival of the Pool cash winning games I expect that we will soon start to see online Professional Players that have transferred from the "Real World".

Pool, to the best of my knowledge, is the most popular game online. I estimate that at peak times during the day over 100,000 players are playing online Pool at the same time.
