As an addict Pool player I can say that the downloaded games are always the better choice to play Pool online. I have not yet found a good 3D Pool game that is not downloaded. Web games are always Flash and do not have the graphics and control that you require to imitate real-life Pool. If what you like is a 2D game than web-based games are your games of choice. They are easier to access and you so not have to download any software to your computer. The graphics of the Downloaded games is usually DirectX based and is much superior to the one offered by the Flash games. It is important to note that if you are not using a broadband internet you will have a hard time downloading the heavy clients so if you want to play real online pool you better get a fast connection to the internet first. Although I strongly recommend the downloaded forms of online Pool in our game reviews we have reviewed both downloaded and web-based games. Look for the symbols inside the reviews:
